Real people: Homemade video of Parc Guell in Barcelona

By DH Wall - Posted on June 12, 2007 at 11:55 pm

This home-made video from a Barcelona traveler and her family shows how they progress from the city and up the long, steep hill to Parc Guell. I'll bet they wish they took a direct bus to the Park Guell main entrance.

Unlike the typically travel video produced by a travel company or tourist bureau, this video seems so much more genuine. Some areas of Barcelona are poorer than others - like anywhere else. Still, it looked like a fun adventure seeing and exploring Parc Guell.

With the family bundled in coats, this homemade travel video appears to have been taken in the off-season.

In the colder weather of fall and winter from November to March, tourism is down dramatically and places like Parc Guell can be empty. This is a contrast to the summer season when people are everywhere and walking long distances is difficult with the heat and sun.
