Photo Op: The Vehicle in Front of You
Sometimes the most interesting travel photo is right in front of you.
If you are in a taxi, bus or someone else is driving, taking pictures is a good way to pass the time while it can open the doors to interesting photo opportunities. Sometimes you'll be capturing great Spain scenery, othertimes, simple pictures of daily Spanish life are revealed.
Here's a rusty old Land Rover water truck perfectly poised in front of the landscape on A-357 somewhere between Malaga and Ronda, Spain.
Here's a horse carriage in Ronda, Spain with the old man, mother, child and a confused looking horse. Carriage rides are popular in the tourist cities and the horses and people can be good photo subjects. In the Andalucia region, horse carriage rides are common in Malaga, Ronda, Sevilla, Granada, Cadiz and several other destinations.
Sometimes the camera yields pictures of everyday driving, such as this simple picture taken while driving inthe Andalucia region of Spain. It serves as a reminder of all of the driving we did while on vacation and the enjoyable experience it was.
Another opportunity is to took for interesting vehicles in front of signs on the way to places you are going. This is not easy.
The key to taking pictures from inside a car is clean windows! I had many pictures ruined by dirt reflections.
Also, keep a look out for the scene down side-streets. For instance, here is a moped rider going down a Malaga side street.
Mopeds are all over the place and they are constantly weaving through traffic, especially in the cities.
In the rurals area roads, being stuck behind a farm tractor is a lot more common than being behind a moped. So is seeing someone pass a tractor while on a narrow, winding road.
On the big highways outside of the cities, buses are a more common sight. These yellow Novobuses are taking passengers away from Malaga.
Inside the city, the traffic jams can make interesting subjects.
Construction vehicles can be interesting subjects too. Spain is full of contruction projects. This cement truck was providing the cement for a new building's foundation.
Remember, keep those windows clean!
