Las Ramblas in Barcelona from Above

By DH Wall - Posted on May 12, 2007 at 8:27 pm

This is a picture of Las Ramblas, the famous pedestrian walkway in Barcelona. The walkway is crowded with people on a nice day, many stopping to watch the street performers.

The pedestrian walkway has a one-way street on both sides and the whole area is lined with restaurants, ice cream shops, gift shops and clothing stores. A casual stroll makes for a nice afternoon.

At Plaza Catalunya, at the north end of las ramblas, there are two metro stations as well as bus stops including local commuter and tourist buses.
