Save money on Spain travel by buying food at farmers markets

By DH Wall - Posted on February 25, 2009 at 2:37 pm

One way to save money on travel in Spain is by reducing the amount of meals at restaurants.  Dining out for every meal adds up fast. So what is the best other way to eat on the cheap? The best alternative to dining out at a restaurant is to do-it-yourself.  How?  By making your own meals from food bought at local farm stands and farmer's markets in Spain.

I just returned from an excellent holiday in the Andalucian region of
southern Spain and have lots of new tips on how to have a great holiday
in the Andalucian region of Spain. I've been here several times now, but was able to get to more of the "off the beaten path" areas
this time.

The weather was absolutely perfect and so was the scenery and food.

On the list of places visited:

  • Ronda
  • Grazalema
  • Grazalema National Park
  • Cadiz
  • Puerto de Santa Maria
  • Malaga
  • Puerto Banus
  • and more
