The Alhambra in Granada, Spain is one of those places you can spend the whole day in and still not get bored. Some of the buildings date back to at least the 9th century. The architecture and landscaping are amazing as the pictures show.

When I think about the cool things I've seen and done during several visits to Spain, the Alhambra has to rank up near the top. The complex has an interesting history. When walking around the complex, it is hard not to imagine how different the experience would have been 1000 years ago, far before it became a tourist attraction.
