Houses on the egde

This is the view of the gorge from the Puente Nueve bridge in Ronda, Spain. It's a long way down for people on their balconies.  It was an even longer way down during wars of the past when bodies were thrown into the gorge.  No, times were not always easy in Ronda and its amazing fortifications sometimes failed to keep out conflict.  Nowadays, Ronda is an overwhelmingly peaceful destination with parks to lazily spend an afternoon siesta and spending the evening in tapas bars.
